Baroque

Europe, 17th Century The earliest Baroque art emerged in Italy. As we know that from the middle of the 16th century, under the influence of the religion reform, the art and artists were defined into three trends: the academic art school, the Baroque art that represented by Caravaggio paintings, Annibale Carracci paintings, and Gianlorenzo Bernini, and the realistic art that lead by Caravaggio. This movement was encouraged by the Catholic Church, the most important patron of the arts at that time, as a return to tradition and spirituality. In the 17th century, Baroque art spread widely. Baroque Came into being with the Renaissance decline. In the 17th century, Baroque art developed into full bloom and influenced the whole Europe art. Until the 18th century, except north Europe and mid Europe, Baroque art began to decline in other places.
