      In ‘CAPE COD MORNING’ (1950) we again see Hopper's theme of life on the borderline between civilization and nature. A section of a house takes up the left side of the painting. Hopper depicts a woman , that stares anxiously out of a bay window, she appears tense. On the right of the picture we see the forest, close and menacing. Once again, as in ‘Cape-Cod Evening’, the trees look as if they are threatening to advance and swallow up the house and it’s inhabitants, reclaiming for nature that which has been stolen from it.

The painting is fantastic, just having trouble deciding where to hang it as it looks good everywhere. The painting was very well packaged and arrived in good time. I was concerned that it was coming from quite a long way away and might get damaged but I will have no concerns again. I love the painting so much, I am looking at purchasing another.

This painting looks amazing in our living room. We loved the picture online, but up close it is stunning. It brings a whole new feel to the room. We are already trying to figure out what we want next.

Beautiful item ! exactly the way it was pictured and it is even more impressive than any picture posted. You really cannot appreciate this without seeing it in person. The paint literally leaps off the canvas and provides a very dynamic experience.
