      Seignac followed a different path specializing in genre paintings depicting children or women and rural life. This was a popular genre throughout Europe in the nineteenth century, compatriots included Simon Cabaillot (1810 1885) known as Louis Lasalle, Theophile Emmanuel Duverger (1821 1895) and Pierre Edouard Frere (1819 1886); in England artists such as William Bromley and Thomas Webster specialized in the field, in which Seignac was working.

The painting is fantastic, just having trouble deciding where to hang it as it looks good everywhere. The painting was very well packaged and arrived in good time. I was concerned that it was coming from quite a long way away and might get damaged but I will have no concerns again. I love the painting so much, I am looking at purchasing another.
