He produced in 1830, as a study for a fresco of the Arcadian Fields in the Hofgarten in Munich, the Museum's view of the rock of Cefalu in northern Sicily. Rottmann's paintings are topographical. The painting is fantastic, just having trouble deciding where to hang it as it looks good everywhere. The painting was very well packaged and arrived in good time. I was concerned that it was coming from quite a long way away and might get damaged but I will have no concerns again. I love the painting so much, I am looking at purchasing another.
